Branches take out powerlines

Willows- Willows Fire department responded for power lines down with fire on County Road 51 Cross of County Road FF. Tim Danley, Firefighter and acting public information officer with Willows FD reported that the fire was caused when tree crews were trimming eucalyptus trees along County Road 51 and they came down on top of the power lines. The fire was contained to a 10 ft by 100 ft spot along the road side. No structures or residents were damaged. PGE crews were on scene to shut off and disconnect power lines.
